This is a family restaurant in the oldest sense: Abu Naim and his son Naim run the room, and the owner picks the meat and the vegetables for the kitchen every day. What was good at the market decides what is good on the table.هيدا مطعم عيلة بالمعنى القديم للكلمة: أبو نعيم وابنو نعيم ماسكين الصالة، وصاحب المحل بينقّي اللحمة والخضرا للمطبخ كل يوم. يلّي كان طيّب بالسوق هو يلّي بيطلع طيّب عالطاولة.

The place hides on Abdel Aziz street, facing the old Piccadilly Theatre, and half the fun is finding it. Inside it is warm, unhurried, and priced like Hamra used to be.المحل متواري بشارع عبد العزيز، مقابل مسرح بيكاديلي العتيق، ونص المتعة إنك تلاقيه. جوّا الجو دافي، ما حدا مستعجل، والأسعار متل ما كانت الحمرا زمان.

Lovely restaurant in Hamra. It is in Abdel Aziz St off Hamra St and a little hard to find. The owner and staff are very warm and welcoming. English is spoken and an English menu is available.Philip Moses
