The best manousheh in Hamra hides
You could walk past Abu Shadi a hundred times and never see it: a small open kitchen between the Moktar café and the Hamandi butcher, no sign over the door. The locals don't need one. The spinach-and-cheese manousheh here is, by most accounts, the best in Hamra — each one built slowly, deliberately, by the man himself, from six in the morning until the dough runs out.
