The number on the sign is the family's own record: Cafe Saab, started by Abdel Kader Saab in 1922. A century later his family still roasts under the name, and Bassem Salim Saab runs this corner of Mar Elias, opened in 2017 at Residence 518.الرقم يلّي عاللافتة هو سجل العيلة نفسها: قهوة صعب، بلّشها عبد القادر صعب سنة 1922. بعد قرن كامل، عيلتو بعدها بتحمّص تحت نفس الاسم، وباسم سليم صعب ماسك هالزاوية بمار الياس، المفتوحة سنة 2017 بالريزيدنس 518.

The room wears the century well: brass mills on the shelves, family portraits on the wall, tartan chairs, and a red frontage that glows over the pavement at night.الصالة لابسة القرن بشياكة: مطاحن نحاس عالرفوف، صور العيلة عالحيط، كراسي كاروهات، وواجهة حمرا بتضوي عالرصيف بالليل.

The shop posts its opening times on the door of the Mar Elias corner, and the Maps panel only says it closes at midnight.
