Tolido has been flipping burgers on Afif El Taybi street since 1971, the year printed in the starburst on their own banner. It faces Beirut Arab University, which means three generations of students have graduated on its eggs-and-cheese burgers.توليدو عم يقلّب برغر بشارع عفيف الطيبي من سنة 1971، السنة المطبوعة بنجمة لوحتهن نفسها. والمحل مقابل جامعة بيروت العربية، يعني تلات أجيال طلاب تخرّجوا على برغر البيض والجبنة تبعو.

The room still looks the part: red stools at the counter, framed photos on the walls, the grill working in the open.
