بحارة القيمرية، بين باب توما والجامع الأموي، في بيت شامي فتح قلبه للسهّيرة. حجر أبلق وجدارية على الحيط، بلكونات مضوية عالساحة الداخلية، وطاولات زجاج بتتوزّع عليها صواني الشاي — وكل صينية بتجي ومعها بوالات الفشار والمكسرات على عادة البيت.In the lanes of Al-Qaymariyya, between Bab Touma and the Umayyad Mosque, an old Damascene house opened its heart to the night crowd. Ablaq stone and a mural on the wall, lit balconies over the inner court, and glass tables set with tea trays — every tray arriving with its bowls of popcorn and nuts, as is the custom of the house.
