By downloading, installing, or using Himalayan Meditation ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Himalayan Meditation teaches a meditation technique based on traditional Vedic mantra practice. The technique taught in this App is passed down through an unbroken teaching lineage. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any modern meditation organization or registered entity.
The App is designed as a personal wellness and meditation aid. It is not a medical device, therapy replacement, or healthcare service.
Meditation is generally safe for most people, but it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a history of mental health conditions, epilepsy, or other medical concerns, consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any meditation practice. If you experience discomfort, dizziness, or distress during meditation, stop and seek appropriate guidance. We assume no liability for any injury or adverse effects resulting from the use of the App.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian.
You may use the App without creating an account. If you choose to sign in using Google Sign-In or email, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The App is currently free to use, with all features included at no cost. We do not currently charge for the App and do not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. If we introduce paid features in the future, any payment will be processed securely through Google Play Billing, we will not collect or store your payment card details, and we will update these Terms before doing so.
All features are currently available to you for free, including the course lessons, the meditation timer, the AI Teacher, progress tracking, and daily teaching quotes.
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App; (c) use the AI Teacher to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content; (d) resell, rent, or commercially exploit the App without our written permission; (e) use automated means to access or scrape the App.
The App, including its design, code, lesson content, UI, logo, and all original materials, is owned by us and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. The mantra system is based on traditional Vedic knowledge that belongs to no single person or organization. All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are the property of their respective owners.
The App integrates with third-party services including Firebase (authentication, database, analytics), Google Gemini API (AI Teacher), and Deepgram (text-to-speech). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, emotional distress, loss of data, or loss of use, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the App, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to your place of residence, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in your country of residence.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
